A driver was killed after his pickup slammed through a guardrail and went down an embankment near the Coquille River.

An OSP report says a white, 1999 Ford F-350 pickup was eastbound on Highway 42 and struck a guardrail while rounding a curve. The pickup ultimately went over the guardrail and down an embankment, coming to rest adjacent to the Coquille River.
